I began making Whiskey Cakes in 1983 and they quickly became an anticipated treat, enjoyed and requested by family and friends each holiday and at many special events. In 2011, after a turn in our economy, I began marketing the SugarMama's brand and stepped into the realm of Farmer's Markets throughout my region in Southern California. So much fun! As well as meeting wonderful people from around the world, we became a popular spot for regular's to find us and enjoy our irresistibly tempting treats and freshly roasted whole bean coffees! Heck! We were serving our "Black Gold" cold brew espresso before it was even a "thing"! Lol! We sent our Whiskey Cakes to customers in many countries and in 2012 had the great honor to partner with Our Lifestreams Ministries in San Diego and send cakes to over 225 troops stationed throughout Iraq and Afghanistan. What a joy. Since 2014 I have been busy with other endeavors, including a small restaurant and wine bar in Temecula, California where we continued to serve our patrons our delicious cakes through 2022. We've rebranded our look and it is my pleasure to now offer them to you in this fun little Etsy shop!
